The Barns Hotel is a lovely privately owned wedding venue located on the edge of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire, which is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. I have been lucky enough to work at the Barns Hotel on several occasions and it is always a pleasure to go back and photograph weddings at this lovely venue.
The Barns Hotel, is a beautifully restored 18th-century farmhouse with character-rich architecture and scenic surroundings.
The venue’s charming oak beams, exposed brickwork, and atmospheric interiors create a cozy setting, perfect for both intimate and larger weddings.

Ceremonies at The Barns Hotel
The hotel has two rooms licensed for civil ceremonies, as well as a suite of rooms where you can hold both your wedding breakfast and evening reception, as well as a fully licenced bar.
The 44 en-suite rooms, including a bridal suite, make it super convenient for you and your guests to relax and enjoy the celebration without worrying about transportation.
Photography Opportunities
With charming brick walls, and rustic wooden features, there are have plenty of scenic spots for capturing those special moments.
The front of the main farmhouse is a great location for confetti and group photos, and as you start to get into the evening it can be used a beautiful backdrop for a twilight photo using creating flash. Such as the main image at the top of this blog.
There is also a courtyard to the rear, with shrubs and barn doors, in keeping with the Barns rustic aesthetic , which make for another lovely photograph location.
Inside there are numerous locations, upstairs in the ceremony room with its exposed beams. The staircase, and the lounge area with leather Winchester style sofas all offer great indoor photo opportunities.
As well as being so close to Cannock Chase, that if you with we can always jump in a car for some stunning forrest photos, which is just 5mins away.

Conveniently situated just off the M6 motorway, and just a short drive from Cannock's town centre.
Nearby attractions include Cannock Chase Forrest, area of outstanding natural beauty, which is perfect for walking and cycling. The more adventurous, can try out Go Ape high rope course, or book a Segway tour.
